I've been to Tokyo. It looks at least 50 years ahead of the
US. We have too many lies, including the GDP. Technology
products and cars are much more advanced in Japan. The only
thing that's really expensive is housing. 150 mln. people are
crowding essentially one tiny island. That's the population
of Russia. -g- I've been to Korea too. That country lags US
badly, but it's less weird than Japan -g-

The Japanese are leading in vitually every technology, and
are closing on a lot of new ones. Their government also
spends tons of money on technology research. They still lack computer
leadership, but even that is now changing... They already
lead in broadband. Of course, scientists knew that for some
time...

China is ramping its own technology efforts. Jim Rogers is
absolutely right about Asia - it's only a matter of time
before all our leadership is gone.
