The remarks to the Telegraph in the U.K. are most appropriate. The writers have commented with appropriate distain for this travesty that would make Ted Kennedy a Knight.

Without a doubt, the Queen of England should refuse to participate in such folly---the folly of bestowing knighthood upon Ted Kennedy.

If the man who left Mary Jo Kopechne to die in the water had not been a Kennedy, in this case Ted Kennedy, the man would have been tried and imprisoned for life or maybe died in the electric chair at that time.

It is an egregious insult to all women whether they be in England, in America or any other nation that this common rogue, Ted Kennedy, should be favored by England with knighthood.

Guess it doesn't matter that the man killed a woman and walked away from it.
