Cycles always are predecessors of windfalls- one good sign and indicator is level of chirping on my favorite thread Kahuna- huge increase in post, little do these guys realise that one put protection offering 2 months protection against a debacle can be had for very little money- most of the sophisticated money is well protected but once these long puts are cashed you will see the ensuing results.

The key is cycle length. If AMAT says that fab orders are pushed out another two quarters, things could get uglier before they get better. The fear is strong now in the semi equip sector ... momentum goes both ways, up and down.
