The latest figures I can find is from a 2006 Arbitron survey. That was something like 13.5 million.

I am not confused about anything, although you seem to be.

The gamble is on the Republican side. Ceding control over the party to someone who isn't fully vested in its success is a very dangerous thing to do. Because, for Rush, it isn't a problem if the Republicans tank. In fact, it is probably to his benefit.
