The plan wastes taxpayer money and won't fix the problem.

Seems to be a hallmark of everything they have done or suggested. It's the reason the markets plunge every time he comes forth with a new plan to fix something. Today it's health care. What will it be tomorrow? Instead of daily proving that he is totally out of touch with what is going on I wish he would just retreat to Camp David and smoke cigarettes and drink beer and above all else STFU.

<>>>The plan announced by the White House will not stop foreclosures because it concentrates on reducing interest payments, not reducing principal for those who owe more than their homes are worth. The plan wastes taxpayer money and won't fix the problem.>

My understanding of the bailout bill is fuzzy.

It appears to me that the banks stand to get most of the money. Bad loans will be made temporally good again. Cramdown of mortgage amounts due, I think, are partially subsidized by the Government.

Hopefully those who are delinquent on their mortgages don't get to handle the money.
