Didnt you want bush to fail too? I said he would because his policies didn't make sense but I didn't say I wanted him to fail. How stupid would that be? If not you, certainly chris. He did? Show me. Didnt you want the surge not to be attempted and then when it succeeded to some degree, you continued to bad mouth results by demonizing shiaa leadership as worse than saddam??? Its true I didn't want the surge; instead I wanted the US out of Iraq. That's not the same as wanting the surge to fail. I hope you can see the difference. I am not looking to pick a fight with you but as my old con law prof used to say "it all depends on whose ox is being gored." Rt demonized clinton. Lft demonized bush and now Rt is back at it with obama. I don't know what to say if you think Bush was actually doing things well and the real problem was the left demonizing him as you put it. If that's what you believe, then there is no point discussing this issue further.
