you missed my point. the whose ox is being gored argument allows rush to yell at you for opposing the surge or claiming it didnt work and bush failed at this one thing which given the circumstances he didnt. Now you can yap at rush for rooting for US to fail when he is probably rooting for just obama eco plan to fail for in his view to stop socialism. I agree with you that rush is stupid but i get why partisans demonize. wish that would stop so even you could say given the dire conditions surge and tribal iniatives worked to improve an horrific situation that existed in iraq. You dont have to be for the war to accept that the surge worked.
