IPM announced at its last AGM that it was able to reach consistent results by assay. I suggest you read some of the press releases by the company, and do additional due diligence, before reaching any conclusions.

Regards, Otter

EC, it ain't there? I guess you haven't been keeping up with the COC announcements at Naxos? Have you personally determined that these companies are a scam? The companies are getting assays that show large quantities of gold in the deserts. If GLG can get gold from the low grade ores they have, there is considerable promise in the dirt's. There have been enough Bre-X and DELGF for a lifetime. A demon and scam behind every rock? I think not. Maybe you just haven't been keeping up to date?

Dear E.,

The last person that posted a reality check to me was our infamous shorter of this stock. I doubt you have anything to do with that. I have read some of the replies to your message and have to agree with them that you need to perform a little due diligence and stop talking in generalizations. As for myself, I have spoken with professionals that have no affiliation with any of the desert companies and have told me that they know that there is gold and Platinum there because they have seen it in their assays. Chain of custody samples have been performed and if you can't believe COC results then there is a real problem here.

There is one thing that I will grant you that I have been told by those people who have first hand information regarding the deserts and that is not all of them are legitimate and one should be cautious where they throw their money. I have been IMO which is why I am invested in IPM. Problems found and delays do not constitute smoke and mirrors. It is all part of development.

E. I am not going to argue the point of the analytical assaying methods you presented, these are all well thought out and knwon. I believe that what seems to be unique with these desert sands is the noble metals are so finely divided that they are not collected into the collector but most of the time end up in the slagg. In order to collect them in a collector, the ore must must completely disolved in an high temperature flux and then a collector that stays metalic (not an oxide) at those temperatureand in very fine form must be used to percolate through the fluid "glass" obtained and disolve within it the precious metals.
]
I think that one of the main problems they are having is that at high temperature you must pay attention to a large numbers of parameters to optimize this disolution. They can always get their minimum (of about .04 oz/ton) since these are gold particles probably on the sutface of the refractory ore. But to get the collector to interact with the fine particles within the refracvtory particles, they must completely disolve these particles and then make sure (high temperature aging) that the collector disolved the precious stuff. If the conditions (atmosphere, temperature, viscosity of the glass phase, distribution of the collector phase etc.) vary between different run, they may get irreproducible results. I think that is probably one of the reason they are having problems.

<<reality check.>>

Yes, that is a good idea. Which reality were you in when you posted this?

"Bre-X 6 cents to 280 bucks ... a scam ... the only stock
that is going to do that again in this century will be my
syndicate which will take control of the gold production
of the western hemisphere."

So - just to be perfectly clear on this - you didn't have a 1-Buy Outperform Load Up The Truck The Shorts Are Gonna Be Screwed recommendation on this security, did you?
