Let 'em take it over. As much as I grouse about the blue dogs they are in essense a 'principled opposition'. k, some of them have no principles beyond money. but some do. as will rogers said when asked if he belonged to an organized party... 'no, I'm a democrat'. we don't walk lock-step. and we keep each other honest. there was a period in the 70/80's when the party got too ditzy... is why i didn't join but was an independent. but there are all voices now. which is good. the repubs can become like the neo-nazi german parties that still spring up. or the icky rightest italian parties. in reality that is what they have been for decades. now it's just becoming obvious.
