I brought it to my consultant's attention and he said he had been through these matters with management on so many times that they are getting mad at him. You may recall my consultant had to privately demonstrate a prior problem to them at a technology session of the American Bar Association much to the chagrin of their leading salesman. That problem dealt with the inability to search on a name if there was a period in the name such as what is frequently found after a middle initial. This ability to distinguish between names by using the middle initial is important because I'm dealing with 3 persons in 3 cities whose names only differ by the middle initial. I thought an update would solve these problems (not the above), but alas and alack, such has not been the case. As my consultant explained it to me, by accepting the upgrade to the software, we-the customer- is certifying to the developer that the software is satisfactory for our use and PC DOCS just doesn't want to hear about the bugs. Unfortunately, the software is usefull and, in general, performs well;however, it has these little bugs that you can work around but shouldn't have to.
