Sure he wants it to come back but only on his terms. If obama plan works, he hopes it fails for exact reasons you state. It would be worse for rush to have so-called socialists succeed than for the US to go into depression. I would rather have a depression than socialism. Of course. That is a no-brainer. The country will survive a depression. It will not survive socialism. That said, this is not the choice with which we're presented. Socialism is NOT a cure for a lousy economy, and in fact, pretty much everyone agrees that socialism exacerbates the problem. And many people, including me, believe that socialist tendencies from the FDR and LBJ years will make it more difficult to weather this storm. (I also think some of what FDR did has delayed this economic downturn, which is good, but it is hard to say at what cost -- because we don't know how deep this will be). Obviously, those of you who are socialists are going to love it. I believe socialism is evil. And anyone who plots against America by tricking its people into buying in to socialism is evil, as well.

Sure he wants it to come back but only on his terms. His terms works because capitalism works. Obama's fails because socialism fails. China is doing much better than us because they are switching to capitalism. We and most of Europe are doing badly because we are switching to socialism.
