we never did a damn thing to take it seriously. I thought we'd been subsidizing solar and wind power for years. We doubled renewable power in Bush's years in office as a nation. In some posts you recognize change will be incremental and take decades - in others you don't. The technology has finally arrived to make it possible If you'd installed solar on your house and were driving an electric car, you'd have more credibility in my opinion. Freedom from oil is freedom from Middle East, Russian, and Venezuelan despots. Freedom from oil will free our foreign policy and economy from dependence on the whims of crazy people who hate us and want to see the end of our way of life. And its also means free from natural gas and free from plastics and free from synthetic fibers and petrochemicals if you mean all the things you say. It's a no-brainer. To think we're on the verge of getting to your free-from-oil and etc nirvana is a no-brainer: Message 25468367
