Mohan - Thanks, I will read the Barron's article. It will be interesting to see where things go. At the moment I'm holding puts on a few techs but I really believe as I posted before that this is a test of the 200 DMA on some of these companies and they've really been whacked. On the charts this fall is very steep compared to other 200 DMA corrections so I'm holding my positions until I see an obvious turn as things could get worse and I can't see the market firming up until the FED meets. However, I don't subscribe to a doomsday scenario, the climate is (technically) just too good for that.

Hi Mohan.: BRIDGE reports the Swiss will sell gold - buying dollars ?

Refer to COMMODITIES :

cnnfn.com

Could this appreciate the oversears value of the US dollar with the resulting second stage of the flight to quality being US equities ?

Don't you feel this Hong Kong crisis has a remarkable timing coincidence with Hong Kong Lee's business visit to London and China's Premier visit to Washington next week ?
