"What the dentist doesn't know is that when the Bush tax cuts are phased out that $250k will drop to $170k and that's for a family."

How they will SUFFER! Their kids will have to drive Toyotas instead of BMW's!

<< tax cuts are phased out >>

You know, my hands shook a few years ago when I wrote that first check to the IRS for $286,000. It stunk, It made me mad, It made me feel sick. But as I total up this years amount owed I sure don't feel any better that I don't need to pay anything in.

I'll take the 800+k income and gladly pay the tax anyday over the 40k and owe nothing.

Make it, pay it, deal with it.

Or do nothing and make nothing as a protest.

as i see it, there are two distinct issues.

1. paying taxes.
2. government spending.

as it stands now, we are a nation of crying thieves. it isn't debatable - we cry about paying taxes, but those taxes don't even cover the expenses we demand by sending pork barrel pigs to congress.

this should blow some minds, but the top 1% wage earners don't even pay 1% of the annual total spending (almost, but not quite)!

we could all pay the same or less if government would stop spending, but the last election was all about increasing spending and doing so dramatically. well, the elections are rigged so either guy will spend like tomorrow doesn't exist, but that's even worse.

we are doomed.

i can see a day, in the not too distant future, where the us government doles out everything from food to jobs... and that scares the crap out of me.

we are a nation of takers and we better thank our lucky stars the 2nd and 3rd generation out aren't around or they'd probably hang us - and be right in doing so.
