I don't remember and I bet Pomp doesn't either where a conservative cheered and was happy about a budget increase during the Bush years. Yet now libs and fake libertarians approve when Obama does it

Nonsense, Shorty. why did the republicans CREATE programs like Medicare Part D? No Child left behind. The farm bill of 2002....all increased spending and NONE were paid for...unfunded mandates. Did the conservative republicans fret and worry about the size of the new, republican created and White house approved budget? No. They cheered the phoney accounting being done and the great, new programs (unpaid for).

Do you consider Tom Delay a conservative? Or Bill Frist?

Here was one of their "laments".

drizzten.com

This was the nonsense we were posting about...Bush claiming discretionary spending was being reduced when anybody could see it was going up.

factcheck.org

So given all this frustration and anger by commentators and true fiscal conservatives, the republicans just went on and on, spending like mad. Why should anybody believe they are serious now?

and this; repulicans even post Delay claimed to be cutting spending, and conservatives called b.s.

reason.com

You know, the problem isn't conservatives...its republicans who claim to be conservatives.

Hardly matters now. There is no viable opposition to Obama and the democrats. Nobody should wonder why after reading the above..and then listening to the same "leaders" now claiming to be fiscal hawks.
