Jay,
It is an orgy of decadence that permeates this wastrel society.
1) Here is a family for sale on e-Bay
cbsnews.com
"Family For Sale

A family of five put themselves up for sale on ebay. Father Loren Guerra was laid-off and is hoping to get a corporate sponsorship from the highest bidder.

March 5, 2009 5:20 AM"

2) Another example of justice system in this country is as corrupt any third world country.
online.wsj.com
This shows a two tiered justice system like any other large scale corrupt country. Now wonder this country can profitably employ so many lawyers.

Madoff is the hero now. I think his problem is much deeper than what appears on MSM. If he is exposed then it will become clear that NASDAQ (stock other American exchanges) is nothing but a fraudulent execution system living on front running to skim of every one and they willingly allow systemic fraud to make profit for a select few.

e are wagering against wastrels such as featured here news.bbc.co.uk , and i feel very comfortable

In an above-average house in an upscale neighbourhood of a decidedly well-to-do area, the wine flows, the laughter cascades and the canapes are politely declined.

About 15 women are gathered in the spacious kitchen/dining room of this comfortable home in California's Orange County, all showing off their jewellery.

Incomes in "The OC" are 25% higher than average for the state and unemployment lower. But even here, the US recession is biting. House prices have fallen nearly 30% in a year and now about one home in every 250 is at risk of foreclosure, or repossession.

America's wealthy are hurting, so this is a get-together with a difference: a gold party.

Guests bring old unwanted jewellery and sell it. It is tupperware for tough times. Not so much a bring-and-buy as a bye-to-bling.

Erin Stevenson says the parties are a fun way to sell gold ...

Doesn't seem any worse than people eating gold leaf.
