>>Obama is destroying confidence and all of the money in the world isn't going to change people's confidence.<<

Steve -

I'd say the current economic situation is very complex and quite dire, and that Barack Obama isn't primarily responsible for that fact. The people who run the big banks (including those in Europe), the big mortgage companies, AIG, and to a lesser extent, Wall Street in general, have screwed the pooch. I don't think I want our president spending his time thinking about how best to make them happy at this point.

I don't know what the best answer is to our current predicament, and I'm pretty sure you don't either. If you want to use Obama as a scapegoat, feel free. Maybe that will make you feel better.

But I will say that anyone who expected any new president to waltz in and fix an economy that is this badly screwed up in less than two months was not being realistic. Such people were bound to be disappointed.
