I don't see an end to this for some time. There's just no one, or no one group, within the party who can establish sufficient strength to take the lead.

So the media will have no end of fun.

First there was Palin and Joe the Plumber, then Jindal, then Rush

Newt Gingrich was on Meet The Press this morning and he wasn't much better. Very negative as my middle finger kept going up towards the TV. I just hate this negative crap from republicans!

BTW, Erin Burnet of all people was on opposite Newt. Wow is she a rising star or what. She is one of the smartest - and most sane sounding - people discussing the economic situation. Gosh and she barely looks old enough to be out of college.

I'm sure over the ages many cynical leaders for dogmatic organizations have used precocious and charismatic youth to put a young face on the policies and beliefs of angry old men. Why stop now?

How can one not form good and balanced opinions being raised on talk radio and the plebeian likes and dislikes of Joe the Unlicensed Plumber and Rush the Drop-out Limbaugh?

No doubt, the Obama administration, in conjunction with the willing press, will begin holding daily strategy sessions to combat this new threat.

Forget hiring Justice Department personnel while the economy is crumbling, banks are going under and homes are being lost. They'll focus on Rush Limbaugh and a 13 year old kid wonderkid instead.

It may work as a political strategy and cement their power for decades. And I have little doubt they will be cheered on in the process.

The interesting thing is none of them have taken companies worth hundreds of billions of dollars and ran them into bankruptcy, costing the American people trillions in new debt to bail them out. They also create jobs and balance budgets, instead of crushing them, while being paid millions.

I'll take any one of them over a Robert Rubin any day. At least I don't have to pay for their way of life.

Rambi -

Krohn sounds very intelligent. But he also sounds like a fool when he mentions Sarah Palin and MItt Romney, in the same breath, as candidates he'd like to see in 2012.
