Also the Banff hot springs are good but frankly amazing in winter. You can read up on one of Canada's shameful secrets there too..

And also, the Rockies are only one of the seven major mountain ranges, each with their own charms, between Alberta and the Pacific. I am gazing out on the snow-covered westernmost range, the Coast Mountains, from my wondow as I type, but the Cariboo Mountains may be my favorite.
