If Congresspersons were required to serve 20, 25 or 30 years (like everyone else) in order to collect retirement benefits, tax payers could save a bundle..
Now they get full retirement after serving only ONE term.


I would be happy to give retirement benefits for serving one term and one term only. They do all their damage the longer they stay. Serving 30 years would be a dream come true to these corrupt, power hungry people. This is a terrible idea. We want just the opposite of career politicians.
