I know TD has invested rather heavily in the US, so I doubt they'll be in much of a postion to "snarf up" really cheap assets that come up... that said, they may be very sound, don't know. Big boring banks sure sound nice right now!

Banks will never go to zero in dividends as some funds only hold dividend paying stocks. I would think those funds will eventually be pretty lonely fairly soon.
