You mentioned G and DAK mentioned the banks, so perhaps it's not off topic to mention a trading strategy i have devised... Imagine a relative strength chart showing only the 7/14 day MA of TD:G. I'll post such a chart next. the last MA crossover favours TD. If/as the blue 7 line moves up, I will at intervals increase my holding of the stronger TD stock at the expense of the weaker G. If/as it moves down i wlll reverse , rebalancing whenever a MA crossover appears. The aim is to capture the trend swings of the two stocks. One or the other could swing a long way relatively.
