Most diabetic patients need medicine too. If the pancreas is no longer producing enough insulin, something must either stimulate the pancreas to produce more or replace the missing insulin. But certainly a lot can be done with diet and exercise. Most of he common drugs are available as generics.

This is exactly what I recommended. You know I've done some reading at your other important thread, and am starting to understand how important diet is to good health. The first thing I did was eliminate corn, wheat and sugar from my diet. I sent him the link to your Heart/Cancer thread. It's all I can do.

Your friend should spend a lot of time on the Internet researching the condition and finding out what needs to be done. If it's type II, and your friend is overweight, number one is diet.
