Already bought my seeds. Have to be careful about where you get seeds. Packaging and storage temps can damage seeds. I bought heirloom so I can save seeds to plant the next year.

If you want to re-germinate, have to buy non-hybrid seeds. Wal-mart has them .20 a pkg. Store them in a dry place. A lot of the hybrids are corn. Watch the markings on the seed package.

Already have some veggies sprouting ready to plant. A cucumber costs me .90 USD in the grocery store.

We will be living in tough times very soon.

Survivalism is not needed in the US. Perhaps in countries less well endowed with natural resources and infrastructure on per capita basis, it's a good idea, but the US already has everything it needs to run self-contained at a pretty reasonable lifestyle -- say, one car per family rather than one per person. There was no breakdown during the Depression with 25% unemployment and far less resources and infrastructure. Why should there be a breakdown now?
