I agree 1000% as far as perception is concerned. I don't understand the perception though. Reported short interest in gold about 6 months ago was about 1800 tons. Even if the Swiss did vote to sell off it wouldn't even be enough to cover the short position in the metal if it were still that high. That doesn't even account for the diminished supply from mine closings. I don't know but this entire market has me totally baffled.

Here's a 5-yr chart of the XAU.
I know I may be hoping for something that isn't there but
I really do think we're seeing a reverse head and shoulders
bottom in the XAU (gold index)

If we are seeing that, though, looks like we need to trade
decidedly higher very soon...like next week.
