Thanks for excerpting my previous post, Mario. Bill, that excerpt should be read carefully...it basicly answers your questions. Replace "government" with the term "political elite" and you should begin to get the picture. Anyer, that was a great post...I agree with your analysis 100%. In fact, in many early posts I often argued that my instincts drew me to the conclusion that a key part of this story is Kazak nationalism. Everything I have learned since convinces me that that is the case.

David: (Off Topic) What a "co-inky-dinky!" ..:-) You may have noticed a post yesterday where I kiddingly chastised a cyberpal for not checking out AIPN or FTEL when I suggested he might want to do so. Well, the one he did buy was Valence when I mentioned it to him in the 4's. (I bought it earlier at 2 1/4.) I agree with you it looks very promising.
