I was under the impression TXN was a few months ahead of the LU DSP solution on performance, but I didn't know LU used less power.

That is a possibility. I don't think Nortel would be thrilled if LU/Westell/AMTX/Netspeed merged. I would like to see Westell/Amati/Netspeed have their technology integrated into LU's,NT's, and Siemans' products and stay an independent company.
