geithner is an unmitigated disaster....trouble for obama is he spent major political 'capital' standing by him....does he cut his losses now and risk 'capital' or does he stick with an incompetent weasel in the midst of the greatest financial 'catastrophe' (his words) of our time....

It'll be interesting in the future to learn just what Tim said to Obama to make him willing to stick his neck out so far on for him on an appointee to deal with the most important issue facing his presidency.

I'm giving the team two years to show progress. I expect some fumbles, but unlike so many here who blamed Clinton for 9/11 nine months and a written warning into the Bush presidency, I'm not ready to blame the new guys yet, SIX WEEKS in.
