The link you cited is outdated as it doesn't include the recent additions which increased every one of those amounts.

And as pointed out to CJ, had I used Arkansas as an example it would have furthered my argument since Arkansas' annual wage is far smaller than IL.

The point is the same either way. A person can make 25-30K by staying at home (in some states, 36K) and watching Oprah. Plus, they lose other benefits by taking a more productive job. And they may make less by going to work at a min. wage job. So, the incentive is NOT to work, and to stay home watching Oprah.
