People’s radio show “This American Life” ran a segment this weekend about black’s anxiety over whites moving into “their” neighborhoods. Entirely from black racists’ point of view. Not one mention that maybe integration might be a good thing.

BFD. The Black Muslims started doing this in the 50's. When I sold for P&G in Watts in 59, I stayed out of Black Muslim Grocery stores. The look of hatred ran me off.

The Andersons would be far better off if they spent their time insisting the parents of the kids in the black neighborhoods start studying and making something of themselves. Then those youngsters too, could form new business and try to make a success of the new venture, just like everyone else does.

I guess some of the folks there don't see what they don't want to see.
