So you say that the alledged Morton Downey show "invest America" is "in the can" or already shot but that it will not air unless AGTI pays $30,000 first?

I really don't get this at all. Are you saying that Morton Downey did the show, and that it's all shot but that Downey's production people will not show the show unless AGTI pays first? This sounds a little suspiscious... did AGTI agree to pay at first and then back out on paying and this is why the show does not air?

My experience with TV shows is that they are desparate the stuff (shows) that are "in the can" as you put it and that if a show was indeed "in the can" as you put it then it would show, as the expensive and hard part is over, ie shooting the show.

Something doesn't sound right about this. I feel that if the Downey show was in fact "in the can" then it would air.

Perhaps AGTI made a short video about the company which is "in the can" that they would have shown on the Downey show, but I doubt that the show would tape an entire episode and then not show it... this sounds odd.

On the other hand just what is the Morton Downey show and what are the ethical implications of charging a company money to be on such a show? It would seem to me that such a show would have to have a face of impartiallity, How could such a show charge the companies for the exposure and then claim to their viewers that they are imparitally giving information about companies?

I dread the worst case scenerio which could be that the Downey show did tape and then the Downey people decided that AGTI was a crap stock and they didn't want to show the show because they didn't want to hurt their viewers... this is of course a worst case scenerio, but I must say that I really don't get this claim that the show is "in the can" but that AGTI must first come up with a fee for the show to air. This shounds fishy to me.

On the other hand perhaps the Downey show does have a charge. But if this is the case don't you think that they would make the companies pay before taping the shows? I think they would as this is the production companies most expensive endeavor. I'll bet you Downey got paid if the show was taped... right you agree with that right. This makes no sence to me. They would never tape a show before the fee is paid, if there even is such a fee. Unless this is some sort of infomercial or something... this really makes no sence to me.

Has anybody ever seen Invest America (a show hosted by Morton Downey)? Have other companies been profiled or was this alledged "show" an AGTI first or Informercial?
