The simple translation is that Obama has been so busy doing what he needs to do to win elections that he has no real political philosophy other than a willingness to do or say whatever it takes to stay in power. Wonderful.

My own sense of Obama is that his political philosophy is of the inherited kind. He has never turned his considerable mental firepower towards the question of examining his own beliefs Obama's mentor here in Hawaii was a black radical from the mainland who was a committed Commie. Forget his name at the moment. His whole BG from teenage on was radical. Then it was further implanted during his community organizing days. His genius is that he doesn't come on as a wild-eyed radical. Mr Cool. But I didn't realize how weak he was. Pelosi must be estatic. She is running the legislation.
