It's not bogus rhetoric. The data absolutely proves it. Over the last 30 years the gap between rich and poor has continued to widen. The rich have seen their income continue to increase dramatically, while the other 99% have not seen their incomes rise by the same percentage points. In addition, during the last 8 years, that trend accelerated. Those are the facts. Only Republicans would deny the facts, because it doesn't agree with the myth they've tried to sell us. You're like my parents. They still defend the GOP, even though the GOP policies make them poorer.
