There's a wealth of information online about guns, as well as guns for sale. Google "personal protection", "home defense", etc.

I do have a small 22 pistol...but I have never shot it. I may try this weekend...out of curiosity.

Meanwhile a quasi civil war is raging in Mexico between the drug cartels and the gov't. Guess where the drug cartels are buying their guns and ammo since they can't get them in Mexico.

I used to shoot one of these in competition:
Ruger MkIII 22

I could get all my shots in a half dollar sized bullseye at 25 yards.
