Tim;

The 51% in the poll mentioned at the following link.

Lets assume for arguments sake you are 100% correct on this issue. Do you really want to continue down this road with our country? ""I want you to fail - no I want you to fail" sounds like a couple of children arguing over a toy truck in a sandbox.

That is why for many of us Obama is so important. He has offered a different way. It's an up hill job and not going to be easy, but why not try to return to the days when civil discourse was the norm and politicians on each side of the aisle respected each other and worked for America's interest.

Might be a nuance but "fail" was never used in this FOX poll. The world used was succeed.

Most people wanted Bush gone. They didn't want him to screw the pooch as far as our country was concerned. Rush was very specific- he does want the country to fail IF "success" for the country would mean Obama's policies would be succeeding.

And FWIW- not wanting someone to "succeed" isn't the same as wishing to see them fail. Talk about your straw men. And they may have meant they wanted to see him fail personally, not to take the country with him.

You handily (and repeatedly) ignore that Democrats voted overwhelmingly for Bush's little adventures in the ME. But sure- it's easier to indulge in black and white thinking if you ignore details. I understand that.

So are you defending Rush, or just wanting to bash democrats?
