Powerbooks and Jobs

That link you provided indicates that Apple is planning to clone the Powerbook. There is no date nor firm commitment. If there were, hopefully we'll see them at Comdex.

Question: What if clone powerbooks are a huge success and starts to cannabalize Apple's own sales. Will Apple revoke the license and buy them out?? It is interesting to see if history repeats itself.

Jobs.

1. he co-founded APPL. So what? Just because he cofounded it doesn't mean he's doing a good job. In fact, I wish the guy had the guts to declare himself as a candidate as CEO instead of pretending he's CEO. The longer Apple is without a defined leader, the more the ship is witihout a rudder.

2. He founded Rhapsody. He was fortunate to receive hundreds of millions of dollars from Apple. When Amelio was CEO he proclaimed Rhapsody as the next frontier for Apple. Now Jobs wants to continue with Mac OS development and showcase Rhapsody for networks and corporate users. Does he not feel that consumers should also benefit from Rhapsody?? He's just made Mac OS longer in the tooth and and its capabilities (lack of) are starting to show.

3. Bonus stock. I like this idea but don't forget he sold all his Apple shares.

4. The industry winning board. Look at the stock price today. Enought said.
