Bush didn't think he was spending money.

I know you don't like Bush, and that some here think he was/is an idiot, but do you really think he was that delusional?

He didn't budget for the war.

The spending on the wars was authorized by congress and listed in current and past US budget data.

He gave money away in the form of huge tax cuts to people who lived lavishly for eight years in an orgy of conspicuous consumption.

1 - That's irrelevant to the issue of Bush spending a ton of money and Obama spending even more.

2 - Its not a giveaway. If I take less from you I'm not giving you anything.

3 - People will live lavishly in any wealthy society, esp. during reasonably good times. Its not something that we should try to tax out of existence, or something we easily can tax out of existence. The effort would fail, and would do a lot of damage in the process.

Bush policies have failed.

Then why is Obama continuing and expanding on the worst part of Bush's policies?
