For the bread I substituted a small zucchini and a jumbo mushroom, shredded and briefly nuked, and a quarter of a cup of hydrated flax seed

Thanks. I have grown tired of turkey Chile and was trying to figure out how to make meatloaf or meatballs out of it.

I will give your recipe a try.

it's funny how i'm reading more and more about people who are going back to the old 'comfort' foods....i hadn't made a meatloaf in years but only recently started making them again...someone had just pm'd me a recipe a couple days ago

i tried another last night...i mixed ground turkey and lean ground beef, and substituted oat bran (coarse) seasoned like the progresso breading mix i used to use, egg of course, ....sauteed finely minced onions before adding, added a dash of nutmeg and some old bay seasoning....turned out beautifully
