William, My universe has become small since I am now retired, but my relatives and friends are getting calls from their brokers to do some liquidation. In fact I have not talked to anyone who has not liquidated some positions in recent weeks/days. I only know one person who is holding global equities right now and that is a person who will ride them down and does not care about loosing short term value. Short term as being defined less than 5 years. This person can not spend her current income from her portfolio fast enough so has decided to just ride it out. We will see how many folks this weekend call their brokers to liquidate their equity funds. IMO, we should see this effect in a week. Joan
