"Rightists" is rather vague, probably even more so than "Leftist" (which at least implies support of socialist ideas, even if you can take those ideas in many directions). Rightest can be fascists (who support big government, with lots of intrusion in to people's lives, and with government domination of the economy even if they don't directly own the means of productions, like the socialists would want), or strong supporters of personal liberty and the free market, or social/religious conservatives, or other things.

As for Bush being an extreme right winger, I think that idea is a bit silly.
