Commander,

"Obama Mulls Ramming CO2 Bill Through Congress In Budget"

How about proving global warming actually exists before pouring trillions into this ponzi scheme.....geez. Besides, I'd take some global warming right now, as it's barely 40 degrees outside.

I swear our representatives are insane doing all of this taxation while we are in a friggen depression. I say throw them ALL out!

We used to have an ad running for Texas that said "Texas, like a whole other country." Hmmm....actually not a bad idea...

Paul

>>>Sen. Barbara Boxer, D-Calif., said slipping the climate bill into the budget reconciliation process may be the easiest route. The procedure also could be used for other controversial energy provisions that could mandate renewable energy production and give greater federal authority to site electricity transmission.<<<

Many experts view the Kalifornia contingent's penchant for CO2 trading as a thinly veiled attempt to raise tax dollars from coal burning states and transfer them to the clean, Green Kalifornia for expenditures other than getting Greener.

The economist, Lester Thurow, preaches that Greenness requires economic growth. There is lots and lots of debt against coal plants. The government is bailing out AIG like crazy because of the implication for the debt markets should all that insurance against debt go into the ether. If you want to see the debt market tank, try defaults on debt against coal plants - the entire utility complex basically. Of course if we were to tolerate electric prices sufficiently high to service the debt on PV, solar, biomass, etc AND that of the soon to be idle coal plants, you might have a starter. The experts predict a 50% rise in electric prices from CO2 manipulations. Throw on double debt service, and the economy stops altogether.

What insanity. We fear global warming because of famine, war, etc. You want to see all of that, then crush the world economy. Of course with no economy, there will be no CO2 emissions at all. Nirvana.
