LOL... I'm a bit surprised Gold is holding so well here... clearly we're at least "going into" the "unwind" or "deleveraging" portion of the cycle Heinz spoke of years ago. He was right on the dollar too... said it would rally during the deleveraging phase. That's something I discounted thinking it wouldn't matter because in the end gold would soar. I didn't realize some of the gold shares would get hit so hard.

Anyway, I would think we're just now beginning deleveraging and sort of assume "reflation" will take a couple years... (hopefully Heinz will elaborate at some point). OTOH, equities and commodities lead these things, so who knows. I'm wondering when the fed will buy it's first slug of corporate or RE debt... no reason to monatize t-bills with rates at zero... hell just sell MORE of those.
