They have been elected to spend the collected tax money from day to day and run the gov't.

Several trillion in new spending isn't "the day to day running of the government".

It is when the previous administration helped create an economic crisis.

Obama was elected after he promised a net spending cut.

And he is moving towards that goal..........by ending the war in Iraq and allowing the tax cuts to lapse.

I haven't noticed it too much from the right.

You haven't spent a lot of time on this thread. With the notable exception of Ten, the Rs on this thread have been extraordinarily reluctant to criticize Bush.

Its certainly not something I'm reluctant to do. I must have made hundreds, of posts just about Bush, just counting ones with negative comments about his spending habits, and it would be an even larger number (possibly thousands) if people where regularly arguing against the point that he (and congress) spent too much of our money. It was arrogant when Bush did it, now its arrogant from Obama.

And I have made numerous calls and sent numerous emails to my elected officials when I think they fukk up.

Just for the record, I have been critical of Obama for his Geithner pick....although I am starting to change my opinion of Geithner.
