Obviously Ecoram was a big mistake, but I wonder if there was anything they could have done to make it profitable, even if they had the hindsight. All players in the NOR market were selling below cost and the winner was the one with the deepest pockets.

Don't you think he did enough damage to SPSN? SPSN got decimated under his watch!

He bet on market not collapsing, and invested in physical production capability to match and support Spansion IP.

The bet did not work, but Spansion is hardly the only company that did not forecast the demand collapse ...
