I haven't been buying anything on the long side in a while. Up until Tuesday, the trend of most stocks has been down, and 80% of stocks follow the market. 20% odds at picking those that can defy a clear downtrend is not very good odds. My approach to buying value stocks includes having market dynamics in my favor. I'm ready, but the market has not yet shown that it is ready. Since putting my value watch list together 47 stocks in the list have advanced and 430 have declined.
