All this talk of the Swiss selling their gold is unbelievably premature.
The referendum isn't even until 1999.
Sales would start approximately year 2000 and from what I'm reading/hearing, it would take DECADES to unwind their position.

SO MUCH can and WILL happen in that time span. Gold may suffer short term, but I would bet that it stabilizes and stays in the trading range that it's been in.

If anything, this could be a good thing for BCMD. If you are one of those who subscribe to the idea that gold is simply at the bottom of a trading range that it's been in for many years, then BCMD should do even BETTER when gold bounces toward the TOP of that same trading range.
