I agree..."stupid" was a bad choice for them. Acting stupid is better. They are over exposing him. The audience can see the strings on the puppet.

What's pretty clear is that they have never ran anything other than a political campaign....the projecting of a winning image apparently does not translate easily into real world skills & abilities. They remind me of some very smart juveniles I have known, where lack of experience leads to poor judgment in what's actually practical. In the grown up world, you don't worry about being carbon neutral while dying of thirst in the desert.
