I think we need to diversify. As some have posted here, we need to pursue an "all of the above" policy. However, we need to have a strategy to reduce our oil consumption to the point that our addiction to oil no longer is the primary driver of our foreign policy and our economy. I think that means we need to achieve a 75% reduction in US demand for oil down to what we can domestically produce. That is not only desirable, but achievable.
