Probably not entirely, but we can minimize our usage enough to ensure it is not the primary driver of our foreign policy and not a motivator for us engaging in wars or acts that lead to war.

Keep in mind that the transportation sector accounts for 2/3rds of our oil usage. Use substitutes for oil or conserve usage and you can make a tremendous amount of headway.

Only you have said that. No one else has said we need to get entirely off of oil.
