But you understood what I meant. I guessed, and the guess turned out to be correct, but I was only moderately confident in the guess. It wasn't totally clear. The amended statement isn't false, but the truth. No its false. I make no such assumption, nor as far as I can tell did the person I quoted. He posited the idea that half of the more recent drops was a response to Obama's plans. He might be wrong on that, but even if he is, it has no connection to the idea that deterioration in the economy didn't bring the market down. He said "50%" not "100%".
